A security guard has many important responsibilities. As a security guard, you may be responsible for the safety of people or important items. Many see the life as a security guard as exciting, however, this is not always the case. In fact, the life of a security guard can be a little boring. Before you take on a security guard job, you must identify if any special training is required. Some states will require that you have some sort of training. If you are not trained, ask the company if they would be willing to pay for some or all of the training that is needed.
